Hi there, thank you for your review and for giving our Spotless X2 Upgraded Water Spot Remover a try! We're glad to hear it's working well for you so far. As for the smell, our formula does contain some natural enzymes that may give off a slight minty scent. We appreciate the tip about using it in the shade or on cool glass for easier removal. And to answer your question, it is safe to use on auto plastic parts like headlight lenses, however-- on other plastic pieces such as body panels, this needs Dissolve X2, Spotless X2 cannot be used on any painted surfaces. We have customers also using Spotless X2 on TEXTURED black plastic pieces that have white staining from products and other debris.
