Two People, One Island, and the Spots That Wouldn't Quit
Sud Factory didn't start in a lab or a boardroom. It started in a driveway on Oʻahu, with a husband and wife staring at a windshield they couldn't get clean. This is how a fix for our own cars became the bottle on shelves, boat docks and shower doors in all 50 states.
Hawaiʻi Is Beautiful. It's Also Brutal on Glass.
People picture beaches and sunsets. We pictured our cars. Living on Oʻahu means your windshield, paint and windows take a beating every single day.
Rinse the car with hose water and it dries into white rings. Park near the ocean and salt mist settles on everything. Then the sun bakes it all in. A spot that would wipe off on the mainland turns into a permanent ghost on your glass within weeks.
We washed constantly. The spots stayed.
💧 Hard Water
Mineral-heavy water leaves calcium and magnesium behind every time it dries. Layer after layer, it bonds to the surface.
🌊 Salt Air
Ocean mist coats everything in a fine film that traps more minerals and dulls glass and clear coat.
☀️ Year-Round Sun
Constant UV and heat bake deposits in until they etch into the surface. Regular washing can't reach them.
Every Shelf. Every Hack. Every Forum Tip.
If you've ever fought water spots, you know this part of the story. It's probably your story too.
Every option fell into one of two buckets. It either didn't work, or it worked by grinding the surface down. We didn't want to sand our glass and paint just to make it look clean. There had to be a better way.
Stop scrubbing the spots. Dissolve them.
That was the turning point. A water spot isn't dirt sitting on top of the glass. It's a mineral deposit chemically bonded to it. Scrubbing attacks the surface. The smarter move is to attack the bond.
So we went to work on formulas that break that mineral bond chemically. Batch after batch, tested on our own cars, in the same sun and salt that caused the problem. The goal was simple: spray it, wipe it, and see the glass underneath again. No buffer. No clay. No pro detailer.
When the spots finally wiped away on the first pass, we knew we had something worth sharing.
That work became Spotless X2 for glass and Dissolve X2 for paint. Then came SFX1, a nano-ceramic sealant, because once you finally get a surface clean, you want it to stay that way.
It Didn't Stay in the Driveway
We built Sud Factory to fix our own problem. It turns out hard water doesn't care where you live. The same mineral spots show up in Arizona, Texas, Florida, California and everywhere in between.
Sud Factory is born
A husband-and-wife project on Oʻahu, made to solve the spots on our own cars.
Spotless X2, Dissolve X2 & SFX1
A complete system: dissolve spots on glass, dissolve spots on paint, then seal it so water beads off.
Fleets, boats & RVs
Detailers and owners started using it on work trucks, boat gelcoat and RV windows, anywhere water dries and leaves its mark.
The shower door surprise
Customers discovered the same Spotless X2 that clears a windshield also clears cloudy shower glass, mirrors, faucets and tile. See Home & Shower.
All 50 states. 2,100+ five-star stories.
Still family-owned. Still made in the USA. Still shipping every day from people who actually use the product.
Small Company. Big Promises. We Keep Them.
Growing hasn't changed how we run things. Every order still comes from a small team that cares whether it works on your car, your boat or your shower.
Chemistry Over Elbow Grease
If a product only works because you scrub harder, it isn't a solution. We make formulas that do the hard part for you.
Protect the Surface
Your glass and paint should look better after you clean them, not thinner. Dissolving beats sanding every time.
Show the Real Results
Our before-and-afters come from real customers on real surfaces. No studio lighting, no filters.
Treat Customers Like Neighbors
That's the Hawaiʻi way. Fast shipping, honest answers and a real person on the other end of every email.
Mahalo for being part of our story. 🤙
The Sud Factory ʻohana
Chemistry, Not Elbow Grease
Spray
Spotless X2 on glass, Dissolve X2 on paint. The formula goes to work on the mineral deposits right away.
Wipe
Work it in with a microfiber towel, rinse, and dry. The spots dissolve instead of being sanded away. No machine needed.
Protect
Seal it with SFX1 nano-ceramic so water beads off and new spots have a harder time sticking.
